Catching up with slashdot

From the guy who is paid by Microsoft to spy on Free/Libre Open Source and help them leverage it or some other such bullshit:
"Companies such as Apple Computer and Microsoft have invested large amounts of money in human interface studies, and although much of this information has been made readily accessible to the public, it would appear that very little of that information has been put to good use by F/OSS developers."

Umm okay so this is why I want to pick up a hammer and smash my monitor every time I have to use those operating systems. There is this guy called Mako, who once told me, "The only intuitive interface is a nipple!"

Let me try to rephrase what this Microserf said...

"Companies such as Apple Computer and Microsoft have wasted large amounts of money in human interface studies, because they rely on their marketing, finance, and legal department to capitialize on a developing industry they are too dense to understand. Instead of listening to users, they tell them what they want and make them believe their products are "software". Meanwhile users who understand software have to fend for themselves and learn from the mistakes of these corporte giants, long before these crippled money grubbing behemoths can react to user feedback. These user/developers are revolutioinizing and innovating not only the software industry but the overall economic society we live in. The only hurdles in the path of Free Software and Open development are the ones placed there by the proctectivist tactics these intellectual property mongers use like software patents.
